[Armin has been pretty quiet all the way from the auditorium back to the dorm. once there, he's heading straight into the kitchen, still without a word, to grab one of the knives.]

[ Nishinoya... still wasn't sure how to feel after what had happened in the auditorium, but he figures the safest option for now is back at the dorm. He settles quietly on a corner of the couch to go over everything running through his mind. ]

[ Sorry to interrupt your sitting Nishinoya, but there's a knock at the room to your door ]

[ Who is that we don't want any-- after opening, ] Hey?

I'm Bertolt Hoover, an instructor, and I'm here to teach a lesson.

Huh? I thought that thing in the auditorium was the lesson. [ "class", lesson, same thing. ]

Unfortunately it wasn't.

I'm here to beat you unconscious.

[ ?!?!?!?!? Going to try and slam the door closed now, after two seconds of processing that sentence. ]

[ Quickly moving to force that door open. ]

Don't. The lesson needs to be taught.

No way! Are you insane?!

[ Trying to keep the door closed, but-- dammit, why isn't he bulkier? This wasn't working out very well. ]

[summoned from his room by the sound of talking and OH SHIT. rushing up to help with the door.]

No, just someone with a job to do.

[ For once, being a tall freak is coming in handy. Using some more strength to force the door open even more ]

[ how are you so strong. even with Armin's added help, it feels like the gap just keeps getting bigger. ]

You can quit, you don't have to do this!!

[why must he be so big. why must we be so tiny. this is not fair.]

Bertolt. Are you really going to just do what they tell you?

[ blood? no thank you. he tries his best to stomp down as hard as he can on Bertholdt's foot. ]

Are you really fine with that, though? What are you going to do if they send you to punish Math next? Are you willing to get Reiner's blood on your hands too?

[ Letting out a sound when the foot comes down on his, it's distracting enough for him to let the door shut more, but he's still trying to force his way in. ]

Either get this done now, or I'll come back later and it'll be worse.

[ but Armin's words make him stop for a moment ]

[ Noya isn't sure what that's all about, but he's gonna take the opening. ]

Now, Armin! Push!

[Armin pushes as hard as he can while fishing the dorm key out of his pocket and holding it out.]

Noya, lock the door! It'll keep him out a little longer!

[ Pounding on the door ]

Armin! Don't make me come back!

You know I will!

[ He locks it and immediately steps back, half expecting the door to fall off its hinges with how hard he was pounding. ]

What the hell do we do now?! Is there another way outta here we haven't found?

[leans hard against a wall, shaking a little. when he speaks, it's quietly enough that it won't be heard through the door.]

We have to set up an ambush for when he comes back. If we get the others, and if we can take him by surprise... we might be able to hold him down long enough to take one of those knives to his neck.

[ not like he'd hear, he's still pounding on the door and shouting out Armin's name ]

[ his eyes goes wide at that suggestion ]

Armin, I can't-- there's no way we can do that!! [ voice lowers, ] You're talking about killing a guy--
