[ Whips around to face her, already pulling up a smile. Different teams, of course we're on different teams, I wonder how many of us are here? ]

[Of course we're on different teams, that makes it Math, Art, Music, and Drama so far. . .]

[I hope you're prepared for a huge hug, Coco.]

[ I SURE ARM. Wrapping her arms around Ferril and hugging her super tightly. ]

Who else is here? Do you know?

Macaron's on Math. Rue and Vanilla are with me on Music. Fox and Rena are on Art. They're the only ones I've seen so far, aside from you and Kit.

Macaron … on Math, huh …

[ mmmboy oh boy how I do love being on a different team from my teammates! w-whatever Coco, suck it up, it's not like you're not used to this. ]

And there are six teams in total.

[her expression sinks more when she realizes that there are only six teams, and there's someone from Teal or Iris on four of them.]

I don't have a good feeling about this.

Teams, bloodstains on the floor, no more than two of us to a team … mm, it looks like it could be. Um.

As it is, if this is like the library... if there's a bad competition, we might not be able to get away with avoiding each other—the odds aren't in our favor.

[ Tightens the hug a little. ]

If it turns out like that … we'll do everything we can. We all know we can trust each other—we all know we wouldn't do anything unless we had no choice.

[tightening the hug on her end, too.]

I know—I know that we all trust each other and that we wouldn't hurt each other if we could avoid it, but—[I DON'T LIKE THESE ODDS oh god]

We'll work something out.

In the meantime … I'm worried about that stupid rule against sharing.

We can—we should be able to figure out something, right? If we can hunt and gather, we could split the jobs up ... some of us can gather, some of us can hunt, and then we can trade.

Yeah … hopefully.

Hopefully there'll be more food here than there was at the Library. And at the very least, at least we're all used to hunting.

We learned how to make due in the Library. Hopefully—that helps here.

We'll be okay, Ferril. We didn't get through that just to be brought down by some other stupid place.
