Reiner Braun, I'm a soldier in the Survey Corps. I've never heard of Ylissea.

And almost no one has, it's weird. Most of you people must come from different realms of time and space or something.

[He shrugs. Not that big a deal to him.]

You're taking that fairly well. But then, I was just glad to wake up somewhere that was better than where I left. They could take me wherever they want as long as it's not worse.

Well, I'm used to people thinking I'm crazy, so that's no big.

What was your old place like? Inquiring minds want to know.

I didn't say I thought you were crazy. [ Although he was thinking it loudly. ]

It was dangerous and stressful. We were fighting monsters that killed and ate tons of people, including some of my friends. It was tough.

So you were the army in charge of fighting... those things. Was there an army for fighting other nations too? Because that was me, back home.

There aren't any other nations, we're the last humans left alive.

So why do you think we're here?

Well... my first guess was recruitment for some kind of army, but [he lowers his voice to a conspiratorial stage whisper:] these people don't really look like soldier material. Nya ha ha! So really, I'm in the dark.

Well, you and I are, although I don't know how long you would last in my army. But it seems a little strange to drag soldiers to a school.

Hey, just because I'm not as big as you doesn't mean I can't fight! For your information, I was one of the most powerful mages in the Plegian army back when I was with them. ...And I'm probably one of the most powerful in the Ylissean army, too, though they don't seem to go for power levels like that.

A mage? Isn't that sort of thing made up?

[ He doesn't want to sound dismissive, but he has never seen or really heard of magic and he really doesn't believe it. ]

[Henry gives him a big smile. He then holds out his hand and mumbles a few words under his breath. Some kind of -- uh -- dark aura begins to materialize in his hand as he speaks, but it seems to fizzle out before he's finished reciting the curse.]

...Aw, darn. My powers are limited here. But that's enough for you, right?
