You remember what I said before, about restoring people's worlds?

Ah. It might've, but . . . when Clockmaker died, it messed with time, too. There's two timelines that I know of that point. Maybe more.

[Shakes head.]

It's not that. We've been told that... When our worlds are restored, we can change things. We can change whatever we want, under the restriction that our changes can't contradict our memories. So we can't change anything we remember, but... Bluebird had the idea of adding an escape route. She wanted to save everyone in Sabra, so she said she would add an escape route in some place she had never checked, then go to find it... or something like that.

Ah . . . it may work, but I don't know how . . . it would affect anything, really. If at all.

It's a way out, for Sabrans to escape to my world. But if you never found it...

. . . [he shrugs, taking off his glasses and cleaning them off on his shirt as an excuse not to look at her]

I don't know what to tell you. We never found it, but that doesn't mean someone else didn't.

My patron in Sabra la Tau was named Mirror. If you're telling me to run from yours, I'm sure whoever they are is just as pleasant as mine was.

No one would patron to Nyssa, don't worry. Her and Yaksinis top everyone's shit list.

Well... I suggested patroning as a way to try to kill her once, but like hell anyone would try it.

... In yours, if anyone dies in a game, they're brought back right after, right?

Yes? For the most part.

... When I attacked her realm, hoping we could break whatever she was planning before she did it... After the game ended, my teammate who had been killed wasn't brought back.

... We had to quest to bring her back from our patron. It took our blood, from a bunch of people. And one of those people was a werewolf, so now she's... got something weird going on.

Then, we had to quest for Nyssa again to fix the broken clock, so she'd ever revive Sparrow again. It took more of our blood, from six people, and had us rewound to kids for a few days.

And then, even after all that, she warned us that the next time Sparrow dies in one of her games, there will still be other consequences.
