[Okay but WHY ARE THE SPRINKLERS ON in the foyer and all along the central corridors?]

[They're just ... going to keep going. And going. And going, for just over half an hour, until there are some nice puddles all over the floors.]

...I understand the basic principle, at least. Letting someone sacrifice themselves for the good of the group is something that should be praised, and respected...

That being said, I do have objections to their methods. On the other hand, we're not really in a position where we can expect to win quite yet.

No, it's not like that at all. There's nothing good, or noble, or praiseworthy about giving up your life. Certainly all of us have people who love us, who will only be hurt. When you die suddenly there are no dramatic of beautiful feelings there, just horrible emptiness for everyone left behind.

What I mean is- "death," right now, might not be...

I suppose it's true that most of you aren't Algodan, and thus shouldn't be held to Algodan standards... But what do you mean by "death" might not be death?

I've been murdered and resurrected about a dozen times now, in circumstances a little like these.

Mm, but... at the same time, it's really not a contingency worth wagering a precious life on.

She means it might not be permanent.

It's . . . w-we should still be trying to avoid it at all . . . Even if someone—even if the laws of that could be broken here it's still . . . painful. Something we should fight against.

[From outside the door.]

Two minutes, everyone!

[idk Lon'qu comes from one of the few JRPGs where people die if they are killed.]

Are you all done yet? Just do what you want. I'm going to fight.

Hey . . . what's your name?

...Some advice, Lon'qu. Keep low and try to move in an unpredictable pattern. Guns have a ranged advantage, and penetrative power, but you still have to aim for it. Dodging it once it's fired is impossible, but if you can disrupt her ability to target you, you'll have a bit of an advantage.

...Unless she's using a submachine gun or other gun built around the concept of firing as much as possible to reduce the need for aiming.

[I don't like this situation at all, but I... can't help out all that much right now, myself.]

If it is anything like getting shot by arrows, I already know what that is like.

[Approaching the door now. ...But getting sweaty and even more pale the closer he gets.]
