Who: Drama, anybody.
When: Day 1, Night
Where: Drama
What: PILLOWFORT

[ What happens when you allow a former Teal access to blankets, pillows, and mattresses?

FORTS. FORTS HAPPEN.

Which is to say: Coco has transformed her room into a den of cosiness, and if you're team, a friend of the team, or a friend of a friend of the team, you're (probably) welcome to crawl in and make yourself at home. ]

Good. Nyssa will too, eventually.

I hope so. No one should have to go through those games.

No one should, but...

[Lol how many of us here have]
evenimprobable: (More to my taste than Italian or French.)

You have to wonder how they all get the idea to run those games . . .

I've thought about it, but all the answers I come up with I decided I'd rather not consider.
evenimprobable: (Or I am much mistaken.)

[personal profile] evenimprobable 2014-09-08 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
. . . still, it's worth wondering about. Even if the answer isn't something any of us want to hear.

...

You said you were the last group in Sabra. So there were ones before you.
evenimprobable: (He must disclose all.)

[personal profile] evenimprobable 2014-09-08 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
Mmm. I couldn't say how many.
experiencepoints: (This one bores us behead it.)

... At Kyriakos... Even the Echoes lost their memories, too.

But what if one of them was a survivor of those earlier groups? Or knew one, and had heard what happened?

But . . . [he frowns, considering it] The Echos aren't gods?

No. Or so we're told. They're people whose worlds were destroyed, just like us.

They have god-like power, now, but in exchange, it seems like they can't ever get their memories back.
evenimprobable: (You can always draw him by a bet.)

[personal profile] evenimprobable 2014-09-08 06:25 am (UTC)(link)
That's . . . huh. That's a possibility, if they know about those games - especially ones like this one and - the other one. Can you tell me about some of the other games they've ran?

She ran games before I arrived. Sparrow can tell you about those, if you ask, I think.

[Leans back, closes her eyes, and takes a deep breath.]

... At the time of the first game of hers I attended, there were only six teams. We were given a vase that represented each team, and a bunch of gems. Twelve obsidian gems, that were an attack. Six sapphire gems, they were a defense. And two crystals- if you played those against a team that attacked you, it would reflect the damage back to them, weakening it by half. All obsidians had to be played. At my suggestion, we played everything on ourselves, attack and defense alike. It didn't negate everything, but we survived, injured.

Another, she had-- had a teammate of ours have to face off against some sort of monster made out of the parts of themselves they were repressing. Called it their "secret heart". I don't know what the conditions for victory were, but we won.

Then, she did that--

[She's going tense again.]

That one, and Sparrow didn't come back...

Then, she ran this game we're playing here, but I've told you the variations on that one.

That's all she's ran so far that I've been there for.
evenimprobable: (I hardly looked at his face.)

That . . . first one sounds familiar, but I think it was set up differently.

[his eyes widen, briefly, though, at the mention of someone not coming back. But he debates for a moment before he takes off his glasses completely, setting them on the table]

Did she eventually come back? . . . but I can - understand how you feel about it. The one held in Sabra was my first game.

... 'm not drunk enough for this.

We... had to quest from our patron to bring her back. Took a lot of blood from a lot of people. That's why she's got those ears now- one of the people was a werewolf.

... We... had to quest for that bitch, too. Otherwise, she'd never bring her back again if she died in one of her games.
evenimprobable: (There is nothing of interest.)

You and me both.

She sounds pleasant. I hope when you all kill her she suffers for a while.
